One thing I look forward to every holiday season is curling up under a cozy blanket and watching my favorite Christmas movies. And it's only made better when the living room is decked out with holiday decorations, including Christmas TV stand décor.
I'll be the first to admit that Christmas décor for TV stands can be a bit trickier to curate at times, especially if you're working with a smaller stand. However, it also holds many opportunities to have fun and extend your Christmas display. From miniature villages lined with snowy forests to plush stockings illuminated by twinkle lights, there's something for every aesthetic—and the collection below has it all.
Whether you're feeling a bit whimsical or craving something minimal and elegant, we've got something for you. Before you start scrolling through the collection below, I should warn you that well-curated Christmas TV stand décor has one downside—you might spend all your time admiring it and miss your movie. Thank goodness for the rewind button!
If Mother Nature and Santa agreed on Christmas décor, I imagine it would look a lot like this. Trees and garlands flocked with faux snow are woven throughout this farmhouse living room, including clusters of mini trees spread over and under the wooden TV stand. Wooden crates and galvanized metal plant pots are sprinkled throughout the room, keeping in line with the rustic aesthetic.

Warm Holiday Glow
This space uses similar décor in the room by fanning holiday greenery throughout in the form of garland, wreaths, and vase filler. To finish the look and give it a wash of warmth, ambient lighting provided by the soft glow of the tree lights and various candles is sprinkled around the room.

Earthy & Rustic Christmas TV Stand
Along with a pop of greenery, this rustic Christmas TV stand décor leans heavily on rustic wood accents. A bundle of sticks, wood trees, and a small storage box perched on the shelves all sport a raw wood finish that holds a ton of natural appeal. Wooden ornaments or a vase filled with branches would also work well with this earthy aesthetic. A snowman in a red stocking adds a bright pop of color.

Minimal and Bright Christmas Village
Here, mini trees and a monochromatic huddle of houses create a minimal Christmas village, which melds effortlessly with the Scandinavian vibe of this living space. Plus, it's a Christmas look that can be done on a budget. To create your own modern, monochromatic Christmas village, consider refreshing miniatures found at thrift stores or yard sales with white paint. Prefer a pop of color? Red paint is an eye-catching alternative. Want something offbeat? Try magenta or sunshine yellow.

Playing with Trees and Color
If monochromatic displays aren't your style, you may still want to give a mini Christmas forest a whirl. This TV stand uses a mix of red and green trees, along with red garland and Christmas signs. Faux mini Christmas trees are available in an assortment of colors and sizes. If you're feeling crafty, you can always make your own trees with bottle brushes. Can't decide what color you want? Look at the color of the other Christmas décor around the room. The example above pulled the red and green tree hues from items in the seating area like the plaid throw blanket and pillows.

A Cozy Farmhouse Christmas
When planning Christmas décor for a TV stand, consider not only what you will place on it, but also beside it. While this TV stand keeps its décor neutral and bright with white houses and wooden snowflakes, the rustic blanket ladder is the perfect addition. The dark tone against the soft textiles provides just the right amount of contrast.

Bold & Whimsical
If you don't have a lot of room on your TV stand for Christmas décor, then consider placing your Christmas tree nearby. If it's as captivating as this one with its bold red ornaments, flowing ribbons, and owl tree topper, you won't even miss the TV stand Christmas décor. Placing a tree close to a TV may cause glare from the Christmas lights, so when cozying up with your favorite Christmas movie, you may have to turn off the tree.

Christmas TV Stand with Farmhouse Flair
This vintage dresser upcycled into a TV stand creates the perfect base for building a small Christmas scene. The TV stand vignette takes notes from the wall décor—mini wreaths, wood wall art, and a TV—to create a symmetrical display. The hint of red added by the wooden trees beautifully mimics the punchy hue of the throw blanket, while the centered gold vase plays off of the luminescent light dotting the Christmas tree.

Double the Style
This is another excellent example of how captivating symmetry can be when used on and around a TV stand. Since this duo of trees is elaborately decorated with banners, plaid Christmas ribbons, fake snow, and other ornaments, the décor on the TV stand is kept minimal, with a red truck driving along a garland road.

Two Trees, One Beautiful Display
If you don't have two trees, you can always fake it with your TV. In this example, the TV displays a grandeur Christmas tree—much like the one to the right of the TV stand. The golden glow of the lights is reminiscent of the warm wood tones on the built-in shelves and coffee table. This room holds that signature festive feel with minimal Christmas TV stand décor!

Chestnuts Roasting on a TV?
There might not be any chestnuts roasting on this fire, but this TV still floods this living room with visual warmth. The garland with red bobbles along the bottom of the TV echoes the red ornaments on the nearby Christmas tree to give the display a cohesive feel.

A Fresh Winter Day
With its neutral and airy color scheme, this living room feels like a winter day topped with freshly fallen snow. In order to achieve this fresh feel, the Christmas décor is kept mainly white, including the TV stand vignette. White snowflakes, trees, and a farmhouse sign sit under the glow of a Christmas yule log crackling on TV. The Christmas tree in the corner has a similar aesthetic using flocking and an assortment of white ornaments.

Soft & Stylish Stockings
Stockings will add softness to any Christmas display, and look lovely when hung on a TV stand. Try using 3M hooks to hang stocking without any damage to your TV stand. In this example, a trio of white stockings is layered with a bushy string of garland that frames the decorations spread out on the shelves below. You could also drape a string of fairy lights along the garland for extra ambiance.

Garland, Trees, and a Hint of Red
This room embraces pops of color! Here, the red found in the TV stand's garland mimics both the tree and the red truck. To top it all off, mini trees are scattered throughout the room—on the TV stand, fireplace mantel, and the hearth. Want to make your own garland? Try these DIY Christmas garlands.

Brightening Christmas TV Stand Décor
Weaving bits of red into a Christmas TV stand display is one of the easiest ways to draw the eye. This display uses a mix of plant pots, figurines, and wooden signs, along with some well-placed throw pillows in a basket for an extra layer of style. While most people only consider throw pillows to embellish seating areas and beds, they also work well on the floor or shelves.

A Little Bit of Everything
The last pick on the list takes a maximalist approach to its Christmas TV stand décor—and it looks utterly fabulous! From the Christmas village claiming the TV stand as its new land to the adjacent twinkling tree with throw pillows at its base, everywhere you look is overflowing with Christmas character! The repetition of houses in the TV stand village and wall décor lends a cottage-inspired Christmas feel to the look. Additionally, the wooden accents like the sign above the TV and galvanized metal tree collar also help infuse the space with rustic vibes. Even if my favorite Christmas movie was on here, I don't know if I would be able to peel my eyes away from all of the intricate décor.
